About the role
The Shared Services Officer (Accounts Payable) is responsible for ensuring that all suppliers are paid on time and in accordance with Evolution’s business processes. The role liaises with key internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure vendors have been paid as per contract and our supporting accounting systems provide an accurate, live record of the companies’ liabilities and that the system balances correctly.
**Key result areas in this role typically include**:
- Processing of accounts payable transactions in a timely manner to ensure on-time payment to vendors and employees, verifying invoices are paid in compliance with all company financial policies and procedures, and performing associated payment reporting and analysis.
- Engaging key stakeholders to follow-up, ensure clarity and timeliness in authorising invoices.
- Responding account payable enquiries from both internal and external parties promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate living the Evolution values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect.
About you
To succeed in this position, you will have suitable experience in an accounts payable role, coordinating, supporting and driving related activities in a fast paced, dynamic environment. It is expected you will be able to demonstrate:
- Pro-active planning and organising capabilities, being able to adapt and copes well with change, manages pressure and deadlines effectively.
- Good interpersonal skills and team player, able to build relationships remotely with our operational mines.
- Previous experience in a similar industry is preferably (not a requirement) and experience in using Pronto, Redmap or equivalent systems.
