The Location
Working a 14/7 Roster, nestled within the awe-inspiring Snowy Mountains, our project offers an office backdrop unlike any other. Join our vibrant and inclusive team where work is not just a task but a joyous experience, enriched by the unparalleled beauty of our beautiful surroundings.
The Role
As the linchpin between the civil engineering and construction realms, this role puts you at the forefront of ensuring top-notch quality for the Snowy 2.0 project. Working directly under the Quality Manager, you'll be the driving force behind coordinating all construction activities, ensuring they align seamlessly with project standards. It's all about proactive engagement and making sure every aspect of Snowy 2.0 shines with excellence.
**Responsibilities include**:
Ensuring compliance with Employer's Requirements to prevent potential operation issues for Snowy 2.0.
Proactively coordinate Project quality activities to mitigate construction-related quality concerns including:
Ensuring teams have updated drawings, technical specifications, approvals and method statements.
Coordinating documentation to highlight relevant hold and witness points.
Reviewing Contractor-provided documentation against Employers' Requirements.
Assessing Snowy 2.0 quality teams' work pack and inspection plans.
Reviewing Contractor's Lot records based on Project quality standards.
Conduct Project Quality Audits
Maintain onsite QA/QC procedures.
Offer Quality support across all functions.
Monitor and report daily progress to the Quality Manager.
Keep necessary documents and records up to date and accessible on site.
Manage QA and non-conformance communications with Contractor and within Owner's Team via ACONEX.
**You'll Bring To The Team**:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering along with your extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure or mining projects to the forefront. Demonstrating your skills in quality coordination and assurance, including a knack for auditing systems and processes. Familiarity with popular document management systems like Aconex is a plus. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with your ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively, will be invaluable assets. Additionally, your exceptional interpersonal skills will foster collaboration within our culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
