Cooma, Australia Snowyhydro Full time

Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
An exciting opportunity has come about to be part of Snowy's 2.0 Project as Quality Coordinator on a four year contractual basis, with an opportunity to extend. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this critical role is responsible for performing quality coordination of all civil engineering and construction work on behalf of the 2.0 Owner's Team. This role can see you operate from Cooma, with visits to all sites at least once a week where you'll be proactive in ensuring construction activities are coordinated, and meet project quality standards.

Maintaining the highest standard of health and safety performance and exhibit behaviours consistent with the Snowy Values

Working proactively to prevent short, medium and long-term legacy issues which could compromise the Snowy 2.0 operational performance

Undertake Project quality coordination activities to proactively prevent construction-related legacy quality issues

Conducting and witnessing all Project Quality Audits and maintaining QA/QC procedures on site

Prepare daily reports on all works in progress and maintain up to date, accessible and accurate versions of necessary shop drawings, documents and records

Ensure all communications to the Contractor and within the Owner's Team regarding QA and non-conformance are managed via ACONEX.

**In addition to the above, our ideal applicant will have**:
3+ years construction experience with either engineering or trade qualifications

Experience working on large scale infrastructure or mining projects

Demonstrated quality coordination and quality assurance skills

Experience in auditing systems and processes

Strong working knowledge and experience of popular document management systems such as Aconex.
