The Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body. Our Home Inspirations Centre located in Mayfield West is the largest home building and renovating display centre of its kind in New South Wales. The centre displays over 100 exhibitors, showcasing the latest trends in home building, renovating, kitchens and bathrooms. We currently have an exciting career opportunity in our Hunter team.

This position is responsible for the continued growth and development of the Centre, including sales, managing client relationships, administration and organising events to promote the Centre. Overseeing the day to day operations of the Centre, duties include:

- generating sales leads and managing the sale of exhibitor and tenant space
- establishing and maintaining relationships with exhibitors, consumers and the tenants of serviced offices
- promoting HIA services to members and customers
- supervising customer service staff
- promoting the Centre by scheduling and coordinating events, expos and consumer seminars

This position would ideally suit a person with both sales and account management experience.
- a demonstrated ability to reach sales and service targets
- in the ability to negotiate and understand the needs of customers
- strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective relationships are established and maintained with exhibitors, clients and members
- excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
- solid verbal and written communication skills
- strong customer relation skills and an energetic nature
