About us
VCAT is part of Victoria's justice system and is a tribunal that serves the community by resolving civil disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. We hear and decide over 85,000 cases a year across Victoria.
About the role
The Residential Tenancies Division receives around 40,000 disputes a year and is 18 months post implementation of the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2018, which had over 130 legislative reforms introduced on 29 March 2021.
The Division continue to explore initiatives to assist in operational recovery from the pandemic and reduce our cases awaiting the allocation of a hearing. The SME backlog recovery will work closely with the Deputy Registrar, Registrar, Backlog Recovery Program Lead and Head of Division to support and drive these initiatives.

- Exceptional self-management, planning and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
