**Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME)**

**Job Summary**:
The VA Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide specialized knowledge and technical guidance in support of various VA programs, initiatives, and projects. This role requires an in-depth understanding and experience in veterans’ services, healthcare systems, benefits administration, information technology, policy analysis, or other relevant fields. The SME will collaborate with stakeholders, provide expert recommendations, and ensure compliance with VA regulations and policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as an expert advisor in a specialized area relevant to VA operations (e.g., healthcare, IT, policy, claims processing, program management).
- Provide strategic insights and technical expertise to improve VA programs, services, and operations.
- Analyze and interpret VA policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Conduct research and data analysis to support decision-making and policy development.
- Collaborate with VA leadership, government officials, and project teams to implement best practices.
- Assist in developing training materials, reports, and presentations for VA stakeholders.
- Support the design and implementation of technology solutions or process improvements.
- Provide expert guidance on veterans’ healthcare services, benefits processing, or IT infrastructure as needed.
- Participate in meetings, working groups, and briefings to communicate insights and recommendations.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or advanced degree preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Information Technology, Business Administration) a plus
- **Experience**: 5+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of VA programs and services.
- **Expertise**: Subject matter expertise in one or more areas such as veterans’ healthcare, claims processing, IT systems (VA platforms like VistA, CPRS, etc.), policy development, or benefits administration.
- **Knowledge of VA Regulations**: Deep understanding of VA policies, federal regulations, and industry standards.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in data analysis, project management tools, or IT systems as applicable to the role.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
- **Collaboration**: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prior experience working with DVA
- MUST be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

**Work Environment**:

- Onsite, but we offer hybrid

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
