**What would I be doing?**

As the Grants, Trusts, and Foundations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in securing funding to support CPL’s mission. You will lead efforts to develop strong relationships with internal and external networks, contributing significantly to the organization's success. Your ability to juggle multiple projects and build connections with funders and philanthropists will be key to your success in this role.

**What would be my key responsibilities?**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, focusing on grants, trusts, foundations, and philanthropic sources.
- Identify, cultivate, and build meaningful relationships with funders, philanthropists, and stakeholders to secure funding for CPL’s programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align funding priorities with organizational goals and optimize the utilization of resources.
- Analyze and monitor fundraising performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance outcomes.

**What would I need to be considered?**
- ** Proven Experience in Business Development**: A strong track record of developing and implementing integrated business plans to attract and grow new and existing funders.
- ** Exceptional Project Management**: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple fundraising submissions across various streams throughout an annual cycle.
- ** Donor Relationship Management**: Expertise in cultivating and nurturing relationships with key donors and funding bodies to secure higher levels of funding.
- ** Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a proven ability to negotiate effectively.
- ** Relationship Management**: A strong capability for building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- ** Extensive Network**: A well-developed network of funders and influential contacts.
- ** Organisational and Problem-Solving Skills**: Highly organized with a strong aptitude for administration and problem-solving.
- ** Adaptability**: A willingness to learn new methods and approaches.
- ** Teamwork and Accountability**: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, deliver results on time, and take ownership of responsibilities.
- ** Proven Tender and Grant Writing Experience**: Demonstrated success in writing winning tenders and grant proposals that secure significant funding, with a track record of meeting deadlines and producing high-quality submissions.
