**Job description**:
CR Labs is seeking a talented and experienced AR Optical Coatings specialist/manager to join our dynamic team of optical technicians. As an AR COATINGS SPECIALIST/MANAGER, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge Anti-Reflective Optical coating technologies by developing and optimizing all coatings & managing the coatings team to deliver improved operational performance.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and implement advanced Anti-Reflective coatings for a range of optical surfaces, considering factors such as reflection reduction, light transmission, colour accuracy and anti-scratch properties.
- Experience in directing, controlling and organizing the full operational functions of the AR coating production/laboratory department.
- Management of the entire AR team and all resources required for the effective administration of the Anti-Reflective coating department.
- Monitoring & controlling expenditure for the AR department and provide management with budget reporting and analysis preparation on budgets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including optical technicians to ensure seamless integration of coatings into various optical lenses.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing of coating performance using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. And iterate designs accordingly.
- Expertise & knowledge of the full operation of all equipment used in the AR coating department including preventative maintenance requirements.
- Technical expertise in all the testing requirements for Anti-Reflective Coatings for maintaining quality control and advanced knowledge in the use of all testing equipment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Anti-Reflective coating materials, techniques, and industry trends to drive continuous improvements and innovations.
- Document research findings, methodologies, and results in clear and organized reports suitable for bother internal use and external publications.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Materials science, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in all Anti-Reflective and Thin-film deposition techniques such as sputtering, evaporation or chemical vapor deposition.
- Proficiency in optical modeling software for simulating and optimizing all optical coatings for design & testing.
- Strong analytics skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insight.
- Proven experience in full management of an Anti-Reflective and hard coating teams in a high production laboratory environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrate track record of innovation, problem solving, and adapting to emerging technologies in the AR coating industry.

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
