Hello, my name is Sandra and I want to tell you a story about why this role could be your next great adventure.
I started my journey with **Royal on the Park** many years ago when my family treated me to breakfast for my 21st birthday. I have never forgotten that magic feeling of walking into the hotel foyer. A place of elegance and sophistication, something which was new and exciting, something I knew that I wanted to be a part of. At this point, a smartly dressed waiter whisked us into the Walnut Restaurant where I began my birthday celebrations. I felt so special Needless to say, **I was hooked and have never regretted building a career within the hotel industry**.
**So, what makes this role unique?** It is not the elegant furnishings or the fabulous location overlooking the City Botanic Gardens. It firmly sits with the people who work here. It is a lofty statement, I know, but it is completely true. We have the **privilege of loyalty**, as some of our team members have been here for more than 20 years, complemented by the wonder of youth, stretching themselves in learning new skills and building long-lasting relationships. Some are building careers within hospitality, others have found a safe place to land whilst studying and some like to call it their “home away from home”. All of this is possible because we have a **strong leadership team** that believes in **collaboration** and n**o one voice has all the answers**. **What are we looking for?**
Someone that is observant, believes in empathy and kindness, is an active listener and finds joy in seeing people thrive and develop. There are also some other key areas but do not stop reading if you do not have all of them as some can be learnt.
- Degree in Human Recourses or Organisational Behaviour
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- An understanding of current recruitment practices and strategies
- Good insight into interpreting awards and the _Fair Work Act 2009_ - meaning you are a bit of an ER/IR nerd
- Relationship builder
- Interested in the Future of Work
