Your opportunity
As the Principal Advisor, Protocol and International Engagement, you will:

- Provide high level advice to management, team members and key stakeholders on protocol and ceremonial matters including written briefing notes, submissions and executive correspondence to support the delivery of the Unit's day-to-day function and program delivery.
- Manage and deliver all aspects of project/programs including planning, budget, timeframes, monitoring and reporting.
- Proactively capture, evaluate and report on market intelligence of visits and trade missions and share within the department and with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate across the department and government to understand and develop whole of government perspectives on international engagement opportunities.
- Develop relationships and networks of strategic importance with key international markets and related allies to leverage opportunities and deliver outcomes for government.
- Establish rapport and gain the trust of VIP dignitaries and in doing so, demonstrate the highest levels of personal integrity.
