At Jetstar, we are looking for a Technical Product Owner - Ancillary Flight Products, to maximise the value of investments in Commercial Airline Technology domain by defining, maintaining, and executing the product roadmap and strategy. This role is also responsible for delivering technology and business changes whilst maintaining operational excellence and compliance.

- Bespoke Solutions (Integrations, Automations, Applications), including Employee Travel Systems

The
_Technical Product Owner - Ancillary Flight Products_ will manage systems enabling ancillary retailing and servicing of flight products, e.g. bags, seats, meals, flexibility, and bundles. The role will be instrumental in delivering Jetstar’s dynamic retailing strategy.

Reporting to the
_Technical Product Lead, Commercial Airline Technology, _the main accountabilities will include:

- Product Management
- Have end-to-end ownership (plan-build-run) of systems in the Commercial Airline Technology domain throughout its entire lifecycle. Accountable and responsible for decisions on strategic alignment, user experience, information management, compliance, security, dependability, impact, training, and quality.
- Define and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap in conjunction with other Product Owners and stakeholders. Provide thought leadership on product roadmap to enable the delivery of key business and Technology programs of work
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand and anticipate business and technical objectives. Organise regular business engagement meetings to discuss strategic and tactical requirements.
- Provide functional, technical and domain leadership on Digital Systems
- Report on product and initiative performance, adoption rates, and usage trends.
- Delivery
- Execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, collaboratively with different teams
- Manage delivery of transformational changes, e.g. major system upgrade, Cloud migration, Data Centre migration, new product implementation. Develop business cases and models to support the business and technology strategy
- Consult on key projects and initiatives impacting systems; Provide functional and technical leadership to projects during all stages of delivery
- Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and technology service providers
- Coordinate strategic account meetings with vendors
- Operations and Compliance
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to all levels of support teams and be a key escalation for products managed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Tertiary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant industry experience
- Product management or product owner qualification (preferred)
- ITIL accreditation (preferred)
- 3+ years working with airline or travel systems in a product owner role or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering strategic, tactical, and enterprise-wide changes, projects, and programmes of work
- Proven experience in engaging stakeholders from all levels - including senior management
- Experience with working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment
- Experience working using different delivery frameworks - traditional and agile; Agile a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using a flexible approach and demonstrating tolerance for ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly to a variety of audiences
- Knowledge and understanding of airline & travel technologies, e.g. Navitaire New Skies Reservation system, Payment Systems, Digital Platforms, Departure Control Systems, Integrations (preferred)
- Experience in aviation and / or travel related industry (preferred)
