About the Role
The Markets Compliance Manager role will form part of the Institutional Operational Risk and Compliance team and will be responsible for providing on-going support to the Risk Theme Officer [RTO] to manage the NFR Level 2 Risk Themes [Improper Market Practices & Non-Compliance with Financial Markets Rulebooks & Regulations].
**This will include**:
Managing the Regulatory Change process for both Risk Themes
Assistance with monitoring and reporting activities for both Risk Themes, as per the NFR Framework.
Drafting and maintaining policy documents and control objectives and communicating change to impacted stakeholders
Engagement with key stakeholders to assist with implementation and management of both Risk Themes
Additionally, this role will provide compliance support and advice to key stakeholders to help them navigate complex global compliance regulations.

What will your day look like?
**This role is accountable for**:
**Customer**:
Provide independent insight and advice to management ensuring potential risks are appropriately considered and understood throughout strategic decision making and transformation processes
**Process**:
Monitor regulatory changes relevant to the Risk Themes, as per the NFR Framework.
Draft and maintain policy documents and control objectives to ensure relevant obligations are appropriately managed with respect to the associated Risk Themes
Monitor risk profiles, operational risk and compliance events, risk issues, audit findings, control testing and QA results to identify potential compliance insights/issues and ensure appropriate responses.
Ensure early identification and active management of operational and compliance risks and escalate where treatment plans, remediation activities or timelines are inadequate
**People**:
Collaborate with Markets/Institutional Operational Risk and Compliance teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of BAU activities and key risk/compliance initiatives.
Collaborate with the Markets Business, and other Divisional and Enterprise Operational Risk and Compliance teams to ensure effective and efficient implementation of NFR Framework
Model curiosity and continuous improvement

Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external compliance standards and policies
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to Financial Markets, ideally across the global regulatory landscape.
Experience in Compliance or similar role
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships successfully
Experience monitoring regulatory change and analysing risk profiles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Institutional Markets business activities and processes
