**About the role

Permanent full time or part time opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of the Adis 24/7 Alcohol and Drug Support through the provision of interventions using a variety of mediums including screening, information, advice, counselling, referral and consultancy to individuals accessing the service in relation to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use or those seeking information about health services.

About you

Provide interventions via a variety of mediums (primarily telephone), including screening, information, advice, counselling, referral and consultancy in a timely manner to clients of the Service throughout Queensland utilising ethical and best practice standards and policies.
Deliver structured interventions to drug and alcohol clients, including those who have entered the service via the criminal justice system.
Provide appropriate referrals to callers to the Service utilising the electronic database and an up to date knowledge of a broad range of alcohol, tobacco and other drug services as well as general health and welfare services.
Contribute to effective team functioning, decision-making and quality service provision utilising high level communication and negotiation skills.
