Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
To provide a comprehensive pre-admission and clerical support service to patients, families’ and the Pre-Admission team and assist to complete all relevant pre-admission procedures and documentation.
This role is for a fixed term 12-month contract working 15 hours per week (Thursday & Friday)
The Position- Provide administrative support to the Pre Admission Department.- Establish and manage effective office management systems.- Maintain confidentiality and a high level of discretion at all times.- Ensure adequate supply of patient educational material/manuals available.- To ensure the Pre-admission diary is maintained and eligible patients booked to receive a pre-admission appointment.- Where able contact ‘late booked’ patients to arrange a pre-admission interview.- Respond in a timely and appropriate manner to all customer enquiries.- Provide photocopying support for the pre-Admission Clinic.- Order and maintain adequate supplies of stationery, booklets, brochures and care paths.- Answer phone and provide assistance where possible or refer the enquirer to the appropriate department of caregiver.- Ensure all patients paperwork relevant to the Pre-Admission Services is prepared, maintained and completed.- Contact eligible patients and arrange a pre-admission appointment.- Maintain the Pre-admission clinic diary schedule and re-allocate appointments as required.- Postage of relevant education material and documentation to patients.
You will have experience in a similar administration role and demonstrate a high level of customer service skills including flexibility, tact and diplomacy.
To succeed you will have sound computer literacy skills and excellent office system organisation skills.
