- **Accounts Receivable Discharge Officer **to join our Admissions team on a Permanent Part-time basis, working 45 hours a fortnight (Mon-Wednesday, and leave cover).
- The
- **Accounts Receivable Discharge Officer** supports and assists the Admissions Manager by coordinating the day to day operational requirements of the Divisional Accounts functions whilst ensuring a high quality of service delivery to all patients, doctors and visitors. Working closely with the Admission Department, you will ensure all patients admitted to St John of God Healthcare have been informed of their health cover and receive informed financial consent on admission including payment of any out of pocket expenses before, during or after their hospital stay. You will also in close conjunction with the Ward Clerks and Theatre Clerks to ensure that all MBS item numbers, Prosthetic items, Sundry Charges, Certificates and Hospital Claim forms are completed as per the service level agreement
- Knowledge of Patient Administration System solution or experience of knowledge of the private health sector, in particular health funding and contracts is highly regarded._
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Proven experience with accounts receivable and other administrative duties.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, patients, and all levels of staff in a professional manner.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to quality and actively seeks to continually improve work processes.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work and maintain performance in a pressured environment.
