**Your New Role**

The Member Group’s purpose is to achieve the Fund’s member growth and member experience outcomes through a competitive, sustainable, and differentiated proposition.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships, the Partnership Manager is part of the fund's Member Growth and Marketing team which is focussed on the attraction and retention of profitable members to the fund. The Partnership Manager will be expected to grow membership by maximising the number of members joining AustralianSuper through their portfolio of managed partners, by building trust through purposeful engagement.

Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Strengthening partnerships through proactive and value-added engagement
- Facilitating the engagement and education of members through workplaces and associations with the objective of improving retention and member outcomes
- Periodic review and recalibration of portfolio to ensure the growth opportunities are maximised
- Strategic planning - Know your Client (Partnership Plans and Business Summaries, Stakeholder agreements)
- Understand your Partners’ key customers and competitors, their structure and the nature of their workforce (including staff numbers and locations) and what is important to them and their organisation
- Work together with the Partnership Managers nationally to ensure that national engagement plans and agreements are developed, managed and implemented consistently across the Fund.
- Work with Partners to protect and promote the position of AustralianSuper as default, directly with businesses, via soft default or Enterprise Agreements
- Support the Business Development team in expanding the number of businesses coming to the Fund, and optimise the number of joins at the time of onboarding
- Complete a desirability, viability and feasibility assessment of any prospective stakeholder or association partnerships to ensure member benefit is adequate and within the costs to acquire parameters
- Assist with the negotiation of commercial and contractual relationships relating to the establishment of new partnerships and initiatives, and ensure contracts are executed according to the agreement

**What You’ll Need**
- High level relationship management, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in a similar senior relationship role, within a financial services environment, with specific responsibility for managing relationships with senior executives including CEOs, CFOs and Boards of Directors, Stakeholder executive and officials
- Knowledge of superannuation, fund administration, investment products and process, and asset transition.
- Previous experience with corporate superannuation arrangements and defined benefit schemes (desirable)
- Broad working knowledge of the Australian industrial relations landscape including the role of unions.
- Strong meeting preparation execution and follow up abilities.
