InvoCare is Australia's leading provider of funeral, cemetery, crematoria and pet cremation services. We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Asset & Facilities Manager to oversee our VIC/TAS property portfolio and ensure our facilities support the compassionate service we deliver every day.   About The Role:

As Asset & Facilities Manager for VIC/TAS, you'll be responsible for the strategic and operational management of InvoCare's facilities across funeral homes, cemeteries, crematoria, and operations hubs. 

You'll lead maintenance planning, contractor management, compliance, and sustainability initiatives—ensuring our sites are safe, efficient, and aligned with our brand standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with operational execution. You'll collaborate across teams, influence outcomes, and contribute to the wellbeing of our people and the families we serve.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies and annual maintenance plans
  • Manage statutory inspections, compliance, and risk registers
  • Lead capital works and facilities-related projects from initiation to handover
  • Oversee vendor relationships and procurement in collaboration with internal teams
  • Support budgeting, cost control, and sustainability initiatives
  • Champion safety, emergency response, and business continuity planning
  • Collaborate with regional managers to ensure accountability and operational excellence

What You Will Bring:

  • Formal qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Proven experience in facilities and contract management in a customer-facing environment
  • Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset management systems
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across VIC/TAS
  • Comfort working in environments where grief and loss are present
