**Overview**

The Investment Operations Team is responsible for the regular (daily or otherwise) reporting of amounts to be invested/redeemed with Custodians for the cash flows of Superannuation funds under management. The team is responsible for regular (daily or otherwise) entry of Unit Prices and Crediting Rates for the Funds under management.

The Investment Operations Analyst assists the Investment Operations Team Leader in achieving the aims and objectives of Client Accounting department.

**Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities**
- Reporting of cash flows to Funds, Custodians on a daily/weekly basis, as well as on ad hoc basis to investment managers within agreed timings.
- Daily reconciliation of all cash flow reporting and investigation of transactional discrepancies with parties e.g. Custodians
- Attend to Custodian and Client queries
- Co-ordination and liaising Custodians/Auditors and Clients, and various internal departments
- Involved in daily entry of the Unit Prices and Crediting Rates loaded to the administration system
- Co-ordination and liaising with Investment Managers/Custodians/Auditors and Clients
- Attend to Adhoc projects relating to both business initiatives as well as client driven changes and tasks as directed by Manager. (eg. process change or improvement initiatives, analytical reviews, reporting enhancements etc). Understand changes required and document business requirements.
- Assisting with testing system changes
- Provide a customer focused service by ensuring fund procedures are maintained and updated when the need arises in a timely manner and following a consultative process
- Participate as a positive member of the team by co-operating with others to achieve the team’s goals
- Attend to internal and external account queries and manage and resolve to the level required of the task

- Reporting is accurate and of high quality with mínimal input from manager before submitting to client.
- Proactive with problem solving and analytical skills with organised and methodical approach to work undertaken. Must be able to make objective assessment of findings, with recommendations on way forward if appropriate.
- Demonstrable general knowledge and understanding of business wide processes, actively working with these areas to improve processes or data flows.
- Demonstrate an ability to discuss day-to-day processing points with external clients or other internal department managers.

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Experience in the financial services industry preferably with custodian background
- Ideally degree qualified in a commercial/finance discipline
- Strong understanding of financial markets and settlement procedures across multiple asset sectors
- A very strong eye for detail and high accuracy in processing information
- Above average PC skills using Word, Excel and other Accounting Products
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a busy team based environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to think broadly about impacts on internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to organise and prioritise to ensure that allocated tasks are completed in an efficient, timely manner according to defined quality standards

Experience in or knowledge of one or more of the following areas is desired but not essential:

- Knowledge of Aaspire or similar administration system highly regarded.
- Exposure to the superannuation administration industry would be valuable
