Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
To manage the daily operations of the Environmental Services and the service experience by key stakeholders. This position is to provide supervision and leadership, ensuring operational issues are resolved in a timely manner and a high level of service is delivered. The position also provides they key point of contact for Managers to assist in the provision or resolution of services, which include:
- Cleaning (clinical and public / general hospital areas)- Linen- Waste Management
The Position- Implement and maintain initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and sustainable employee engagement and stakeholder satisfaction.- Participate in and initiate change activities that promote continuous improvement and deliver service excellence in all areas.- Lead change and business improvement programs/ projects.- Introduces and monitors KPI’s enabling benchmarking of best practice across the WA hospitals.- Promote and ensure provision of high quality cleaning, linen and waste management services.- Build effective relationships with stakeholders within the hospital and actively engage with them to ensure responsive servicing that meets the needs of the hospital.- Responsible for providing leadership, advice and counsel on cleaning, linen and waste management policy and practices.- Chair relevant committees and working groups, and represent support services and the hospital to internal and external stakeholders- Collaborate with all stakeholders seeking feedback on service standards across cleaning, linen and waste management.- Monitor compliance and ensure all procedures and processes adhere to SJGMPPH standards, policies and statutory requirements.- In conjunction with Supervisors (as relevant) coordinate performance appraisals and development programs for caregivers and trainees to increase their capability, understanding and compliance with organisational requirements.- Run training sessions, in-services, meetings, tool-boxes and ensure online training is completed on time to keep all Environmental Services caregivers informed, well trained and ready for their duties.- Prepare rosters and maintain efficient and cost effective resources within budget.- Leads the recruitment process for an efficient staffing level within budget.- Ensure leave liability and productivity hours are maintained within agreed KPIs.
You will hold extensive experience managing contracts and multi-disciplined service delivery teams, including cleaning/housekeeping, preferably in a Hospital or Healthcare environment, with prior experience implementing service metrics (e.g. key performance indicators) and monitoring effective service delivery to maintain the highest standards of service and quality. You will also have the ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask, with proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
