**About the role**

The Health & Safety team at Evolution works with the operations teams to provide a safe working environment, reduce risk, and protect the environment. Through the implementation of Health & Safety systems and processes, the team works to reduce workplace injury rates. The Health & Safety team must also monitor changes to mining regulations and ensure legal compliance.

The vacation program is a 12-week structured program that is designed to develop your knowledge base and skills with practical work experience. This program is intended to set you up for future success and potential enrolment into our 2-year Graduate Program. The Vacation program provides students with the ability to make real contributions from day one, an onsite orientation and the opportunity to build relationships with other vacation students. You will have an experienced manager to supervise you day-to-day and provide one to one feedback and coaching to help you learn.

This is a site-based position, where you will reside in West Wyalong, NSW working at the Cowal operation. The Cowal operation is a world-class open pit gold operation located 350km west of Sydney and operated by Evolution since July 2015. It is situated within the Bland Shire on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri People. The operation also works closely with the Lachlan and Forbes Shires. **About you**
- Must be in 2nd, 3rd, or Penultimate year of a relevant Health and/ or Safety degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Ability to work safely at all times
