**About the role**

Metallurgists at Evolution are responsible for ensuring that key plant operating parameters remain within target and are accurately reported. They also monitor and ensure that consumption of process consumables remain in line with budget and carry out metallurgical test work and trials that are aimed at improving gold recovery, processing efficiencies and costs.

The vacation program is a 12-week structured program that is designed to develop your knowledge base and skills with practical work experience. This program is intended to set you up for future success and potential enrolment into our 2-year Graduate Program. The Vacation program provides students with the ability to make real contributions from day one, an onsite orientation and the opportunity to build relationships with other vacation students. You will have an experienced manager to supervise you day-to-day and provide one to one feedback and coaching to help you learn.

This is a site-based position, where you will reside in West Wyalong, NSW working at the Cowal operation. The Cowal operation is a world-class open pit gold operation located 350km west of Sydney and operated by Evolution since July 2015. It is situated within the Bland Shire on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri People. The operation also works closely with the Lachlan and Forbes Shires. **About you**
- Completing 2nd, 3rd or penultimate year of a Metallurgy, Metallurgy Engineering, Engineering (Physical Metallurgy), Engineering (Process Metallurgy), Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a similar degree to be eligible.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Ability to work safely at all times
