
Advisory Services and Licensing Officer

Advisory Services and Licensing Officers play an important role as one of the first points of contact within the Inspectorate, responding to enquiries from the public (employers and employees, peak bodies and representatives), triaging reports of non-compliance, and providing information about Victoria's Industrial laws, including:
- Long Service Leave Act 2018
- Child Employment Act 2003
- Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005
- Owner Driver and Forestry Contractors Act 2005.
In addition to frontline duties, Advisory Services and Licensing Officers are also responsible for assessing and issuing child employment licenses, and evaluating notifications or variations a license holder makes in accordance with the Child Employment Act 2003.
This role assists in triaging and referring matters to our investigative teams and supports the broader operations of the team and the Inspectorate in accordance with fluctuating demands and organisational needs.
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in a service delivery culture, ideally in a regulatory or compliance environment, and an ability to apply legislative requirements and operational policies to processing and decision-making.
