**About the role**:
PTC are currently seeking an experienced **Payroll and Accounts Officer** to join the team in Crestmead.

The Payroll Officer will provide support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team by processing fortnightly end-to-end payroll. The Payroll Officer is a key member of the finance team who are responsible for the month-end and year-end accounts.

**Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to**:

- Deliver 400+ employees’ fortnightly payroll and entitlements in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare monthly payroll and bonus reports for different business units
- Advise or provide information on one or more of the following: employment conditions; workers compensation procedures and regulations; superannuation entitlements, procedures and regulations
- Review payroll procedures and processes and provide advice on improvements
- Working consultation with HR team
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts
- Check staff reimbursements
- Support the wider finance team with month-end process

**To be successful for this role, you will have**:

- 2-3 years’ payroll experience preferred
- Accounting diploma (or similar) is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred
- Discretion as there will likely be sensitive information and figures discussed
- The ability to work to strict time constraints at times
- The ability to prioritise work
- An organised and methodical approach to a range of tasks
- Experience with payroll and accounting software is highly desirable
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour
