About the Role:

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant with a passion for numbers, procedures, and data-driven insights? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel under pressure?

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has good analytical skills and is eager to grow further, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Is detail-oriented, with a solid understanding of financial processes and procedures, and is open to learning and improvement.
  • Can handle tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Possesses problem-solving abilities and is driven to continuously improve processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Serve as a backup for the Payroll Officer.
  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly/monthly reports, including monthly consolidated reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare data analysis to support decision-making and contribute to process and procedural improvements.
  • Ensure internal controls are upheld and assist with any ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Some experience in financial accounting, ideally in a fast-paced environment with room to grow.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB EXO, MYOB AccountRight) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Permanent Residency Status or Australian Citizenship required.
