**The Opportunity**:
The Investigations Manager reports directly into The Executive Director Quality, Safety and Risk and is responsible for managing a team of investigation specialists as part of the Quality, Safety and Risk Directorate responsible for reviewing and investigating serious incidents within aged care, disability, child and school services ensuring that all misconduct is identified and promptly reported to the relevant statutory authority, the NSW Police, and where required, the Director of Professional Standards for the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle.

What we are looking for? Manage and conduct investigations into allegations of reportable conduct, disability reportable incidents and serious incidents against staff, people we support, contractors and foster carers in services provided by Newcastle Anglican, data and privacy breaches. Undertake complex end to end investigations with actionable outcomes to Office of the Children’s Guardian, NDIS and Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. Identification of gaps in procedures and policies and make recommendations which reduce risk. Manage a small team of Investigators and Compliance Officers, providing both training and coaching where required. Develop and maintain a governance framework to support the investigation process. Assist in the preparation and production of records as required from time to time to the head of entity. provide and present reporting on regular basis.
About you? Demonstrated experience in conducting high level investigations in line with reportable conduct legislation and mandatory reporting timeframes. Experience in contemporary interviewing techniques with children and adults. Ability to operate with discretion and maintain confidentiality and an understanding and commitment of professional conduct and professional boundaries. Strong communication skills across, aural, oral and written. A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children) A current NDIS Check National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes.
