Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

The Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest Gallery education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus recently opening, the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the Role**

The position will build on the successful stakeholder engagement strategies delivered in the lead up to the opening of the expanded Art Gallery. The position will provide high level strategic support and project management with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement to the Art Gallery for the next 12-month period to fully realise the public benefit of the expanded Art Gallery.

**What technical / soft skills you require**

1. Appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant, equivalent professional experience in a similar role.

2. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful stakeholder engagement strategies for complex projects across a broad range of stakeholders.

3. Highly developed stakeholder engagement, networking and influencing skills, with experience working across all organisational levels including boards and senior management.

4. Excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with stakeholders, to achieve successful outcomes.

5. Strong project management and people management skills.

6. High-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high quality, concise advice, briefs, presentations, and reports for a range of stakeholders and senior leaders.
