**About the Employer**

This organisation is a highly recognised and well respected within its specialist sector for excellence and commitment to delivering best in class offerings on behalf of its customers. As part of a major review of its ICT and Digital capability, which includes a sizeable technology investment plan for equipment, hardware, software, licensing, infrastructure and cyber-security, this organisation is now seeking to appoint a Procurement Category Manager to further develop their Technology spend category strategy.

**About the Role**

You can be based in Sydney or Canberra with a work from home / office flexibility.

You will work alongside senior leaders and business representatives as well as project teams, to plan and manage contracts and procurement activities for ICT sourcing. Effective procurement and contract advice and support is integral to enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic goals. In developing the category strategy you will optimise outcomes by ensuring savings, quality, risk and price are due considerations whilst ensuring adherence to ESG frameworks and governance. This will be a 'source to contract' end-to-end procurement role with full responsibility for spend insights, supplier selection and contract negotiation through to managing vendors and scorecard review against established performance metrics.

**About You**
- A track record of successfully delivering procurement solutions, with a mature level of proficiency in contract management, procurement principles, program & project management and complicated contract negotiations across ICT spend.
- Client and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ideally, hold a combination of technical and commercial education and experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Technical and analytical writing skills
- Previous experience in coordinating multiple priorities simultaneously with competing demands
- Strong analytic and creative problem-solving ability
