We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Category Manager for our Early Sourcing Initiative. This role will be focused on procuring local materials for major and large volume projects for our New Building Solutions and Modernisation Businesses. This includes category strategy develop and managing the end to end procurement process (RFX go to market activities through to contract management of strategic and high value suppliers) working closely with internal and external stakeholder to deliver key service and commercial outcomes for KONE.
You will be working closing with the internal sales and delivery operations teams at both the project bid stage and project delivery stages ensuring end to end procurement fulfillment of locally required materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Research best practices, benchmarks, and market/supplier developments in the locals material category area
Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing procurement strategies
Run end-to-end procurement projects/RFx's for specific projects.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts for key area-based suppliers within the managed categories
Lead contract implementations and resolve contract-related issues
Manage key supplier contracts, driving performance improvements
Drive the development and improvement of category-specific policies and procedures
Act as a global category lead to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies
Report monthly portfolio savings, program updates, and ad-hoc reports as required
Are You the One?
Minimum 4 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management
Bachelor's / master's degree in technical or commercial sciences, or a related field preferred
Ability to build and develop strong collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Demonstrated experience in delivering savings and meeting P&L targets
Experienced in developing category spend strategies
Advanced excel skills and ability to create business reports and actionable insights from raw data, including working knowledge of SAP
Experienced negotiator with the ability to manage high value contracts
Working knowledge of best practice related to the construction sector
Preferably Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply 'MCIPS' qualified
