Procurement Category Manager, Residential

Our opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager to join our Sydney Team. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional value for money, high levels of service and compliance with procurement procedures as well as bringing professional best practices to defined categories of spend across the Residential business. Whilst delivering measurable cost savings, performance improvements, risk management and innovation, as well as market trends and analysis in the form of category strategies and plans while maintaining Mirvac’s focus on quality and customer outcomes.

**Your duties include but are not limited to**:
Managing Procurement-related activities with Residential project teams across specified categories, including market analysis, go-to-market strategies, tendering, contract award and ongoing supplier and stakeholder management.
Build collaborative relationships with Residential project teams to position Procurement as a value-adding business partner.
Cost reductions (captured and delivered against target)
Overall spend within specific categories managed under contract
Ensuring procurement goals are achieved across defined activities
Complete supplier performance management activities where required
Provide monthly category updates for preparation of various reports for key stakeholders including project teams and executive leadership teams.
Identifying category risk areas, quantifying risk exposure and successfully executing risk mitigation actions
Provide Procurement and category support to project teams as part of the Procurement strategy and planning activities

Your point of difference

To be successful you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, where post-graduate studies is preferred but not essential and significant experience in similar roles. Extensive knowledge in understanding strategic sourcing, contract development and supplier management is highly regarded. As well as experience in managing procurement within major building (Residential / commercial) construction projects. You will have solid experience in delivering optimum procurement outcomes, executing category management plans, and working with category tools such as Kraljic Matrix. Finally, an ability to drive change and provide guidance on procurement strategies is advantageous. Along with negotiation, influencing, communication and collaborative skills.
