**Description**:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented **Transactional Officer (AR)** to manage incoming payments, ensure accurate transaction posting, and maintain customer financial records. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in accuracy and service excellence.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end receivables process - from invoice creation and payment allocation to collections and account reconciliation. You’ll ensure timely cash flow and accurate financial records, working closely with both customers and internal teams.

This is a hybrid role that is 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Invoice Creation and Distribution**

- Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Assist with data imports to ensure accurate invoice data.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.

**Payment Processing**

- Record and allocate incoming payments (EFT, BPAY, Cheques, Credit Card, Direct Debits).
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in posting transactions.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue payments.

**Collections**

- Contact customers to resolve overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management as needed.

**Account Reconciliation**

- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end close with accurate receivable reporting.

**Reporting & Documentation**

- Generate and maintain ageing reports to track outstanding balances.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date customer and payment records.

**Compliance & Internal Controls**

- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

**About you**:
You’re a reliable and detail-driven finance professional who can balance accuracy with efficiency. You have a strong customer focus and can communicate clearly and professionally to resolve issues.

- Proven experience in accounts receivable, receipting, or collections.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
