**About the Role**

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of passionate, talented and influential IT professionals. The Workplace Services team is made up of Analysts, Specialists and Leads. Together, this vital team are responsible for delivering development and maintenance of Workplace Systems & Services and Service Desk Support.

The Technology Specialist is accountable for delivering service improvements through new services, and delivering effective and efficient BAU Support & Processes can be in conjunction with the Technology Analyst teams. The role has key relationships with project managers, vendors and architects to implement service extensions and improvements.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Be responsible for the delivery and enhancement of services where technology drives better business outcomes and cost Optimisation
- Deliver improvement in the operation of Workplace Services, both products and people
- Contribute to Customer stakeholder management with key business and Project Management as directed
- Improve Operating Performance through delivering Service Catalogue descriptions, Technology Roadmaps, End to End Service Agreements, Risk Registers with both Vendors and Architects
- Contribute to service descriptions and service-level agreements (SLAs) for specific services to the organization’s service catalog
- Contribute to the development of business cases with stakeholders for service improvements, supports project delivery through provision of skilled technical resources, and transitions service improvements from projects back into BAU
- Contribute to Project Planning, Delivery and handover to Operational Staff
- Provide a high level of technical support and customer service across VRL’s ITIL suite which includes
- Provides excellence as a SME in designated Technology areas
- Manages Critical Incidents as required
- Participates in On Call Roster
- Provide support to Lead roles to provide continuity of services
- Manage Technical Escalations from the Technology Analyst Teams - this role is not a first-in-line ticket processing role
- Provide Overflow for call queues and ticket queue services when specifically required due to significant staff shortages or Critical Incidents

**About You**

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for someone to succeed in this role:

- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration including O365 Suite, MS Teams, Power Platform, Azure AD and Licensing
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and InTune.
- Strong technical skills in PC hardware and software
- Strong knowledge of Windows and MAC OS operating systems
- Intermediate knowledge of active directory and group policies
