Technology Support Specialist
We’re looking for a technology support specialist to join our small team.
This role is perfect for someone who has a passion and comprehensive knowledge of IT systems and audio-visual technology.
The role entails some physical work.
**About Us**
We are a technology and service startup in the hospitality industry. We provide signage software solutions and technology consultancy to registered clubs.
We have outgrown the capacity of the founders, and are taking the next step in our growth journey by expanding our team.
**About You**
**A passion for tech and beyond.**
You don't want to work somewhere that doesn't tickle your interest. We’re about hardware, software and technology and get thrown into a lot of things beyond that. Having an affinity for technology and being open to new learning experiences are essential.
**Ability to learn, unlearn and relearn**
Our industry moves fast and technology moves even faster. Sticking purely to the tried and true won't cut it for very long.
**Flexibility**
Your responsibilities and hours will vary within reason. Flexibility goes both ways here, from you to us, but also from us to you.
**The right attitude**
We want someone who fits into our culture. You can handle near constant puns, are keen to learn new skills, play with new (tech-) toys, are happy to engage meaningfully with clients and are a bit irreverent.
**Responsibilities**
- Troubleshoot and maintain various IT and audio-visual systems.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to our clients in the hospitality industry.
- Work closely with our team to enhance our technological offerings, including signage software and hardware solutions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new tech projects.
- Maintain Microsoft Server and Active Directory networks.
- Support network infrastructure.
- Work closely with a qualified electrician to run CAT6 Ethernet network cables in-venue.
**Essential Skills**:
- Proficiency in IT systems and audio-visual technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
**Licensing Requirements**:
- Drivers license required.
- Possession of a Security Providers License in Queensland or a Class 2C security license in NSW. Alternatively, the ability to provide a Police Certificate to confirm eligibility for obtaining the necessary license.
**Highly Regarded**:
- Qualification in IT, Electrotechnology, or related fields.
- Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly with clubs.
If you are passionate about technology and eager to join a growing startup, we’d love to hear from you Cover letters are optional, but appreciated.
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Licence/Certification:
- Full Driver Licence (preferred)
- Security Providers (QLD) OR Class 2C Security License (NSW) (preferred)
