**About the Role**:
The Curriculum Policy and Standards directorate, within the Curriculum and Learning Division, provides high-quality literacy, numeracy, EALD and Aboriginal Languages evidence informed advice and resources for teachers and leaders that empower children and young people to learn and thrive.
The Program Leader, Literacy and Numeracy Practice works in collaboration with Literacy and Numeracy Policy Officers, the Manager, Literacy and EALD, the Manager, Literacy Guarantee, the Senior Project Managers, Literacy and Numeracy and Phonics Screening Check and is responsible for the strategic planning, development and delivery of professional learning for corporate and site leaders and teachers to support the public education strategy..
**Qualifications**:
**Essential**: A tertiary qualification in a related education field.
**Desirable**: A post-graduate qualification in related fields of education, particularly in relation to literacy and numeracy.
**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Eligibility**:
Appointments made under section 121 of the Education and Children’s Services Act 2019 may provide health, social or other non-education services to schools, preschools, and children’s services centres.
**Remuneration**:
S121-6: $ 157,365 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
