The purpose of this role is to optimise the performance of the segment by ensuring performance targets, continuous improvement and organisational objectives are met while providing a high level of support to the Recovery Independence team.
This is a **permanent full-time** role based in our **Melbourne CBD** office.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop, implement, forecast and drive the strategic direction, performance and sustainability of the specialist team.
- Oversee and deliver a scalable, efficient, collaborative, and effective customer-centric operating model.
- Ensure team achieves performance and KPI targets as part of the BU performance framework
- Utilise customer satisfaction and the customer experience and identify opportunities to enhance communication and services - utilising the continuous improvement channels to plan and implement change
- Identify and evaluate individual and organisational development needs. Deliver individual and group learning and development programs.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and respond effectively to changes.
- Manage and oversee budget expenditure, conducting regular reviews against plan and budget and taking corrective actions as required.
- Ensure appropriate strategies are in place to maximise performance revenue.
**ABOUT YOU**
- Minimum 10 year industry experience
- 3 - 5 years experience within a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the state Workers Compensation legislation and the associated regulations and guidelines
- Strong understanding of the contract requirements and performance measures
- Knowledge of cost of claims impact
- Sound analytical skills
- People management skills, including team building, coaching, performance management and change management
- Strong experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment
- Successful track record in achieving business objectives
