Coordinate the provision of psychoeducational treatment groups by external providers.
**Your new company**
Open Arms is the leading provider of mental health services for veteran's and their families - they are a service founded by Vietnam war veterans which provide essential services to all veteran's and their families.
As an Australia wide team they provide face to face counselling, telephone based support and case management to individuals and their families through a combination of proven clinical practices and new evidence based approaches. They are now seeking a Group Program Coordinator to join their Melbourne CBD Team in a full-time capacity on a 12 month initial contract with the possibility of extension.
**Your new role**
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following in this role:
- Work in collaboration with the Assistant Director, Clinical Outreach and Groups and the clinical team to coordinate the provision of psychoeducational workshops and treatment groups by external providers to the clients and stakeholders of Open Arms.
- Coordinate with the community engagement team as a point of contact for psycho educational workshops and treatment groups related to transition seminar attendance, ADF promotional activities and ex-service organisations in the region.
- Develop an annual schedule with assistance from the Group Program Support Officer (GPSO).
- Manage recruitment and Onboarding of Facilitators & Trainers.
- Manage group Intake, Screening and Reporting.
- Engagement with in-centre counsellors and Outreach Program counsellors to support promotion and delivery of group programs, and engage community stakeholders, ex-service organisations, and RCF contacts in collaboration with the community engagement team.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this position, you must hold the mandatory skills and experience as follows:
- Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist with full AHPRA registration, OR
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance.
- Knowledge of mental health programs.
