As a Payroll Assistant, you’ll assist in all aspects of payroll from processing pay runs to answering employee queries. You’ll partner with a wide a range of key stakeholders from our employees themselves, Finance & Risk partners and the broader People & Culture function.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to commence a career in Payroll or HR.

What The Role Is All About- Work closely with rest of Payroll team to assist with monthly payroll process, ensuring correctness, eligibility, and timeliness of payments- Assist with processing of superannuation, redundancy calculations, payroll tax etc- Engage with employees at all levels and answer queries in a clear and accurate manner- Assist in reviewing current payroll practices, determining what efficiencies can be made, if any- Assist with reporting where required

Who We’re Looking For- 6+ months experience in Payroll or HR ideal but not necessary- Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for numbers- Payroll compliance knowledge, including sound employment tax and industrial relation knowledge- Intermediate Excel skills advantageous but not necessary- General problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
