Adelaide Venue Management Corporation is the operator of three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful event venues - the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium (CS). An exciting and rare opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Functions Coordinator to join the team at the AEC and CS.
Reporting to the Functions Manager, the Functions Coordinator position is a hands-on role responsible for delivering functions of the highest standard. You will be working as a part of a small team, coordinating the day-to-day functions operations including preplanning set up requirements and the successful delivery of the function on the day.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the planning, preparation and coordination of functions in accordance with the function programs
- Being responsible for the delivery of outstanding food and beverage service
- Ensure food and beverage service is delivered in line with the function programs
- Briefing all staff before the function to ensure they all have clear knowledge of expected outcomes
- Assist in the coordination of AVM Catering Off Site Events within established AVM service standards
- Ordering beverage stock for the Functions department
- Handle any guest issues during the functions
- Maintain high levels of staff morale and teamwork

- Exceptional organisational and people management skills
- Proven experience in the delivery of large functions
- Problem solving skills
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
You will be required to have good availability and work over a 7-day roster, working days, nights and weekends is paramount. Your ordinary hours will be 37.5 hours per week plus any reasonable additional hours that are necessary to fulfil your duties as required.
