Maxima has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Events and Functions Co-Ordinator based in the Western suburbs of Adelaide, Maxima is seeking a fun, vibrant person looking for an ongoing Casual position within our Picturesque local community organisation.
**Applicants must have**:
- Experience in management of function facilities.
- Experience in the management of RSA (responsible Service of Alcohol) and associated hospitality requirements.
- Experience in financial management of all function operations including reconciliation and reporting on expenditure and income.
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to utilize technology and social media to manage, monitor and promote functions.
- Ability to manage paid staff and direct volunteers to deliver function output.
- Ability to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds and across multiple generations.
- Ability to prepare management reports outlining key function, bar, and kitchen information as agreed.
- Ability to develop or manage policies and procedures for the successful and safe running of the bar and kitchen and venue in line with work health and safety requirements,
**About the role**:
- Manage all elements of function and facilities hire, including maintaining and communicating a calendar of future functions, coordination with the client’s groups and bar staff regarding requirements; and responding to hiring inquiries in an efficient professional manner.
- Ensure that facilities are well maintained, meet the needs of hirers, are cleaned, and rostered to their normal arrangements after functions.
- Assist clients with the setup of the club rooms including IT and AV equipment as required.
- Ensure that the bar and kitchen is well prepared for functions as required.
- Manage a wide range of (internal and external) promotional and advertising activities to raise the profile of the function facilities and kitchen’s meals and service.
- Coordinate a pool of approved and inducted catering providers to be utilized for hire for functions at the client’s facilities.
- Manage as required a pool of supplementary casual workers, including rostering, induction, performance, and timesheet management.
