As a member of the social media team, the APS6 officer works with and mentors a team of social media specialists to write and publish content for the Department's social media channels, including reporting on content performance, using analytics to inform social media strategy, ensuring the channels are a safe and informative place for our audience through moderation and providing expert advice to stakeholders about social media best practices.

To be successful, you will possess strong communications experience in social media, with the ability to build and maintain good relationships, both internal and external with clients and stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in strategic communications, public relations, marketing, digital communications, or a related field, or at least two years' experience in a similar role.
**Key Responsibilities**

- Develop daily content schedules across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, including generating ideas, drafting copy, liaising with designers or external agencies to produce creative, collating schedules, and coordinating approvals.
- Work with line areas to develop social media strategies for specific content topics.
- Provide social media advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop social media content for ministerial channels when requested.
- Using tools to measure channel analytics, manage a range of reporting tasks including content reports, executive reports and provide content performance advice to clients.
- Provide social media listening reports on a variety of topics and keywords as required.
- Provide social media moderation support, including out-of-hours when required.
- Film and edit, including live-stream broadcast from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube with captioning.
**Key Capabilities***:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working as a Communications Officer.
- Experience working in a social media role, and familiarity with the most popular social media channels and trends.
- A client service focus with the ability to influence initiatives at both an operational and executive level.
- Sound judgment and an ability to work under pressure.
- An ability to form strong and productive working relationships.
- Be able to work as part of a small team.
- Ability to learn new IT systems quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrated personal drive and integrity while achieving results.
- Ability to strate**gically manage and prioritise competing issues and activities and identify suitable opp**ortunities and events to align with program delivery milestones.
