**Job Description**:
**Your New Role**
Join Leidos as our Head of Procurement Australia. This role will report directly to the Head of Sourcing and Commercial Management Australia and will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the enterprise in all areas of procurement.
This role is responsible for all Direct & Indirect Procurement in support of the Australian enterprise, in a global context. You will lead a team of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain professionals who will execute compliant procurement actions for Leidos Australia.
We're looking for a high performing, people oriented leader who can continue to elevate our Procurement function.
**Opportunities to deliver impact in this role include**:
- Developing a high performing team culture and fostering team engagement through meaningful career development and recognition;
- Developing procurement strategies and supplier relationship plans that are innovative and cost-effective;
- Leading procurement activities in new business capture and ICT program execution;
- Developing strategies for market approaches, negotiations, and managing subcontractor / supplier performance;
- Monitor and manage reviews of subcontractor and supplier agreements to ensure performance.
**Qualifications**:
**About you**
You are a seasoned Procurement Manager with at least 8 years experience in a senior or leadership capacity. You are an engaging and collaborative leader who excels in supporting your team and achieving organisational outcomes.
You bring:
- Strong knowledge of Defence procurement - ASDEFCON;
- Demonstrated experience delivering functional and operational improvements;
- Ability to act as the Head of Sourcing and Commercial Management where required;
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing subcontracts, purchase orders, agreements, and negotiating terms;
- Demonstrated experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management & Supplier Relationship Management;
- Executive presence and a strong business acumen.
