These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.
**The Role**:
In this dynamic role, become a pivotal part of the Property and Procurement team and manage a diverse property portfolio consisting of our retail stores, distribution centres, VincentCare properties, and assistance centres.
The Property and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance, compliance, environmental and building operational management strategies to our sites.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Utilizing the Property Maintenance system(s) to develop and manage all preventative (PM) and reactive maintenance (RM) requirements;
- Ensuring building compliance and driving initiatives on engineering standards across the business
- Managing the property-related capital works program for SVDPV and VincentCare;
- Administering expenses associated with property maintenance activities in accordance with SVDP policies and procedures;
- Planning, allocating, and coordinating all required works and documentation by external contractors.
**About You**:
Well known for having an outstanding communication style and a sound knowledge of the logistics of property maintenance, you can effectively manage a diverse portfolio and various administrative tasks.
You enjoy working in a hands-on environment and take pride in being a team player with effective problem-solving skills.
**More specifically you will have**:
- A qualification in Project Management, Facilities Management and/or trade qualification or at least five years industry experience which is directly relevant to the role (_essential_);
- Current Victorian Driver Licence (_essential_);
- Strong general administration skills;
- An understanding of property management systems;
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, Excel knowledge of WMS System;
- Significant experience in both day-to-day operations and management of projects;
- Substantial experience and capacity in supervision of suppliers, contractors and staff;
- A capability to prioritise work commitments and manage competing deadlines;
- Strongly focussed customer service ethos, with strong empathy and understanding for the needs of the stakeholders.
