**About the opportunity**:
Hudson are currently partnering with a well established agency responsible for safeguarding South Australia's viticultural industry against pests and diseases. This is achieved through the rigorous management of protocols and policies, effective communication on biosecurity matters, and the promotion of cutting-edge research and technology.

This opportunity will be working closely with the CEO, responsible for:

- Evaluating and assessing biosecurity and vine health risks.
- Promoting the adoption of innovative biosecurity practices.
- Facilitating the dissemination of knowledge related to biosecurity and vine health.
- Establishing strong relationships with vineyard owners and key industry stakeholders at both state and national levels
- Ensuring that biosecurity policies and protocols continue to safeguard the industry.
- Assist the CEO and Communications Adviser to prepare and execute the communications and engagement plan
- Assist the CEO to manage reported biosecurity incidents, including investigation, analysis, reporting and recommendations
- Assist the CEO to establish industry biosecurity priorities and to influence government and research sector investment in these priority areas
- Assist CEO to develop and execute initiatives as part of the strategic agenda

**Your skills and experience**:

- Degree in Viticulture or related science field essential
- A strong customer-centric approach, commercial insight, the ability to translate scientific information into practical solutions, and the delivery of high-quality information and advice to stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills
- Capability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders

**Further information**:

- Fixed term contract of one year, with potential extension for up to two additional one year terms by mutual agreement
- Some intrastate and interstate travel involving overnight stays
- 8:30am - 4:30pm (38 hours per week)
