**The Role**
We are looking to engage a **Senior Payroll Lead** to support our Chevron contract on Barrow Island. This is a growing and long-term project that will see you reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Whist you won’t have direct reports, your knowledge and experience will be useful in supporting the Payroll Team.
You will be responsible for high-volume timesheet processing, monitoring a shared inbox, supporting our Mobilisation Team, creating and processing purchase orders and other ad-hoc reporting. In addition, you will be managing and responding to payroll queries, liaising with the site team on a regular basis and providing general support to the team.
This role will see you working 07:00am to 03:00pm, Monday to Friday in our Ventia office on Adelaide Terrace. _Hours of work and work from home options are available and flexible._
**Key duties, but not limited to**
- Process payroll each pay cycle (fortnightly), including management and tracking of a central mailbox
- Payroll administration, reporting & managing and resolving payroll queries
- Collecting, calculating and entering data to maintain and update payroll information
- Ensure all payroll input and maintenance is accurate appropriate authorisation is in place
- Identifies, investigates and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
- Manage payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner and resolve within agreed service level timeframes
- Timely management of recovery of overpayments for active and terminated employees
- Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal legislation and requirements, EBAs and employee contracts
**Skills & Experience**
- Sound experience in payroll processing and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- High level of attention to detail, initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise and demonstrate excellent organisational & time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently both written and verbal communication
- Flexible attitude to work additional hours to meet payroll deadlines and demand
