We are seeking a confident and capable Payroll Lead with strong TechnologyOne (TechOne) experience to step into a critical role supporting both day-to-day payroll operations and a major payroll transformation program.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and uplift payroll delivery while also playing a key role in the successful implementation of new systems and processes in a complex, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations across a diverse workforce, using TechnologyOne (TechOne)
  • Provide guidance and oversight to payroll officers, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance
  • Interpret and apply complex EBAs, Awards, and employment terms across various employee groups
  • Support project teams during the TechOne implementation, including data cleansing, UAT, process mapping, and go-live
  • Build relationships across HR, Finance, and Operations to align payroll with business needs
  • Drive continuous improvement and champion payroll best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a senior payroll role
  • Deep understanding of TechnologyOne Payroll (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of complex EBAs, awards, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to work across both BAU and project streams, managing competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy, with advanced Excel/reporting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on team support, stakeholder management, and operational delivery
