**Our Client**
Our client is a growing diversified and global ASX listed business that provides various services to the community. Their head office in Perth CBD is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager with exceptional leadership skills to join the team on a permanent basis.
**Description**
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will look after the overall management of end-to-end payroll processing while also motivating, encouraging, and leading a team of three. Your other duties will include but are not limited to:
- Payroll processing for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Ensure all payments are made accurately and on time as per the employees’ contract, EBA and legislative requirements
- Prepare and manage PAYG tax, superannuation guarantee contributions and Single Touch Payroll
- Review and approve all payroll payments
- Perform audits as required to ensure accuracy
- Prepare reports when required for various stakeholders
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
- Provide advice to employees in relation to pay issues, legislation, and new policies
- Ensure payroll staff are well trained and payroll systems are running efficiently
- Identify necessary process improvements and implement these changes
- Management of Payroll staff including annual performance reviews and day to day support
- Coach and develop direct reports to achieve individual and team KPI’s and budgets
- Complete development plans and KPI reviews
- Create and develop an inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Attend and contribute to meetings and discussions.
**Profile**
As an ideal applicant, you will have:
- Thorough understanding of payroll compliance, modern awards and other state and industry legislation
- Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations, and legislation
- Previous experience leading a team of payroll professionals and successfully motivating, training, and developing them
- Ability to identify and solve issues
- Advanced computer software skills (Chris21 experience highly regarded)
- Display honesty, integrity, and discretion
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
