**About the role**:
Are you ready to embark on an exciting new phase in your career? Compare the Market is looking for an outstanding Head of Delivery to join our dynamic Software Engineering and Delivery team, based in Toowong. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading and managing the Delivery function for Compare the Market, ensuring successful coordination and execution across the business.

Reporting to the General Manager Software Engineer and Delivery, you will lead a team of Delivery Leads and Business Analysts. Your expertise will be crucial in optimising our delivery processes, fostering efficiency, and boosting productivity. By spearheading innovation and continuous improvement efforts, you will elevate our delivery and planning capabilities to new heights, pushing boundaries and setting new standards of excellence.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
In this leadership role, you’ll play a pivotal role in our continued success by:

- Lead and manage a skilled team comprising Delivery Leads and Business Analysts, providing guidance and direction.
- Coordinate and supervise delivery planning and milestones to ensure timely completion within budget and aligned with agreed objectives and key results.
- Establish, enforce, and refine delivery standards and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Enhance and monitor delivery workflows to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Cultivate seamless cross-functional collaboration between the IT division and other business units to bolster ongoing delivery efforts.

**About you**:
As our Delivery Lead, you are a strategic thinker with a knack for inspiring and motivating teams. You should possess organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that delivery planning and milestones are executed flawlessly. A natural problem solver, you thrive in fast paced environments and excel at optimising workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaboration is second nature to you, and you excel at fostering strong relationships across various teams. With a passion for continuous improvement, you’re always seeking ways to refine delivery standards and drive innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leadership in managing software delivery functions.
- Experience in effectively managing skilled teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of delivery methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT delivery.
- Analytical mindset, capable of translating business objectives into actionable plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
