Head of Specialised Claims

**The role**:
As our new Head of Specialised Claims & Investigations, you will be instrumental in providing strategic & operational leadership to our Claims & Investigating team. You will:

- In conjunction with the Associate Director design & develop the external fraud strategy, and build of internal fraud capability
- Develop & deliver a 12 month business plan that is integral to Claims Divisional strategy
- Drive innovation in fraud, investigation, technical claims and high care claims
- Be accountable for the achievement of annual claims cost plan, operating expense plan and broader balanced scorecards
- Build a team & create a culture that continues to deliver high performance with high integrity
- Provide effective leadership that balances delivery across all dimensions of optimal claims cost outcomes, engaged workforce, customer service and strong control environment.
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder groups in resolving issues of urgent and immediate importance that potentially impact the business

**What experience you’ll bring**:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferred)
- 3-5+ years’ senior leadership experience within financial services industry, preferably insurance
- Extensive experience in leading teams efficiently and effectively in the provision of services to clients in line with service standards
- Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; with strong negotiation and influencing ability and experience in managing stakeholder relationships
- Strong awareness of industry and regulatory developments, contributing to the identification and mitigation of risks across the business
