The NSW Government is investing $22 million to help businesses make simple low-cost improvements and take practical steps to shift towards net-zero emissions. This support role is part of the NSW Net-Zero Plan to reduce emissions by 70% by 2035 and achieve net-zero by 2050.

**Your new role**

The Contractor Project Officer role in the Business Decarbonisation Program team works with a small team to deliver some of the nation leading work on strategic planning for net-zero emissions. After having worked with 56 organisations in delivering their net-zero pathways, we are set to scale this work and help many more businesses to lift their net-zero transition up. In this role, you will use your Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and net-zero transition planning expertise to drive the development of the associated guidance. You will also use your project management skills to develop and deliver market offers. You will also collaborate within and outside the Business Decarbonisation Program team to build partnerships and achieve the best outcomes for our program participants.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in ESG, net-zero transition planning consulting or net-zero frameworks and standards
- Sustainability or similar degree
- Excellent project management skills including the demonstrated ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time and within budget
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience and build partnerships
