The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Administration Officers (Medical Transcription) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Complete and maintain an efficient standard of general administration with specific reference to Medical Transcription
- Collate as directed by Clinicians, relevant reference materials required for clinical correspondence
- Manage, sort and action daily all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the specialist units
- Provide high level of communication, listening and liaison skills
- Type, edit and proof read transcribed letters, prepare reports and documents for photocopying, formatting and collect all relevant patient data within specified timelines

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification will be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time (six positions)
- Base salary ranging from $71 847 - $79 901 per annum

About Us
Working within the Medical Transcription team you will be required to type doctor's dictations, have completed dictations verified and send patient letters via Secure Web Transfer or mail. All team members are required to meet the departments daily Key Performance Indicators. This team is based from Southport and Robina.
