**_HQ Trainee Purchasing Officer - Full Time_**

**_About the role_**

This is a HQ role and is not located in the store.

As Trainee Purchasing Officer, you will be a multi-tasker and team player, with exceptional communication and organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines without compromising the quality and accuracy of the work you produce.
- You will be primarily responsible for:_
- Preparing and processing purchase orders to ensure that suppliers have the available inventory readily available.
- Providing recommendations for restocking inventory as needed and making sure customer orders are filled properly.
- Analysing and resolving any inventory issues that may arise whilst comparing actual stock. inventory against the digital inventory records. This is to ensure a wide variety of inventory attributes, pricing and promotions are always up to date.
- Providing general inventory data entry using appropriate quality control methods to update inventory, pricing and promotions.
- Contributing to the accounts team on occasions to ensure that any credit-based enquiries are resolved.
- Investigating purchase order and inventory discrepancies with stores and suppliers.
- Liaising with our suppliers to confirm delivery dates.
- Processing stock transfers between stores.

Whilst ensuring all information is as accurate as possible, you will report directly to the Accounts Manager and interact with HQ and store teams as well as suppliers daily.

This is an entry-level role and you will be provided with full training to kick start your career.

You must be able to work as part of our consolidated team and have the ability to work under pressure in a high paced, demanding environment.

Every step in this role must be in accordance with company policies and glamaCo's high standards.
- The regular hours for this role are:_
- Monday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Tuesday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

The roster may include some extended hours during peak trading and promotional periods, as such, you will be paid in accordance with the relevant award provisions.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment and can be physically demanding at times.

Team members come from a variety of industries, careers and educational backgrounds. It helps if you have had prior experience in customer service and/or high-volume retail and it's an extra bonus if you have prior experience elsewhere in the hair, beauty and health industry. You could even be a current customer of glamaCo.

**_Ideally, you will have:_**
- Prior hair and beauty or pharmacy industry experience
- Strong presentation standards,
- Strong customer and supplier relationship focus,
- Strong mathematical skills,
- Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Computer skills including the use of inventory systems and Google Workspace,
- Ability and desire to learn quickly,
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly (time-sensitive requirements for example),
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely,
- Accurately organise, prioritise and multitask to meet deadlines,
- Be a self-motivated, proactive and effective team player,
- Able to work independently and autonomously,

- A willingness to learn and take instruction
- A background in retail purchasing would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
- Great school, academic or sporting results.
